Teamfight Tactics 2021 anniversary

Considering I play TFT almost daily, I was REALLY excited to do the TFT anniversary artwork. There were a lot of interactions and exchanges I knew about in-depth and wanted every hardcore TFT player to be able to enjoy (and also relive the frustration of past seasons). Outside of that, I wanted any kind of casual player or just an outsider enjoyer to be able to appreciate the little legends and champions without any knowledge of the game or metas.

I wanted to keep the ongoing theme of a party like the previous anniversary artworks. The task was to feature the birthday little legend so it had to be the center of every composition.

After choosing my thumbnail, I developed the sketch further to simplify the eye flow of the piece.

Once again, I tried not to add too many details for background characters so that we could focus our attention on the center piece.

Whenever I do flats, I do a gradient overlay of some of the background characters to enhance the perspective.

I'm quite happy with the final piece, it had all of the different seasons and main metas of TFT and had a different type of party compared to the other pieces I had done in the year.
